i seem to be having some trouble getting mods to work, especially in conjunction with each other.

I have read people saying you have to have the mods listed in order of priority in order for them to work well together. how do i rearrange the order that the mods are in in the mod menu?

i have a highlights mod but I also have a gore mod...I cant tell if the gore mod is working. I thought i was supposed to be able to shoot up corpses but they cheesily crumble when i shoot them.

How do I get it to where all of the mods are activated at once? when i open to mod menu do i have to click all of them? which one do i run and play to have them all going?

You can mix two mods with open the console and doing this...:

set fs_game_base low priority mod

set fs_game high priority mod reloadEngine // to make the mods initialize.

You can't launch mods together from the mod consoles. It's not like Graw. What you'll have to do is put the mods TOGETHER in one folder and self prioritze them by giving them names or numbers in descending order. Do this: Make a NEW folder in the same place as your opther mods. Call it something specific like MODS TOEGETHER or something you'll notice. Go to the two mods you'd like to put together and and COPY the files, then PASTE them in the folder you just made. Whatever pk3 has the LATER NUMBER OR LETTER in the beginning of the file WILL BE PRIORITIZED. If your Bloom lighting mod is Bloom.pk3, you'll need to rename your gore mod to something AFTER that, something that starts with C or later. if you're using nitro mod, you need to rename it anyway to be compatible with the DooM 3 updates. something like pak099.pk4 instead of pak005.pk4 so to review. You'll have something like X:Program Files/Doom3/TOGETHER MODS In that folder you'll put copies of both mods, and the one you want to have priority over will be named LATER or LOWER than the ones you want to be overridden. a.pk4

Yes, better do it like Xaijin said, but with my method you can do it the same and also mixing two folders full of mods, prioritised by letter or number.

You only has to know the name of the mod folder, listing the Doom 3 directory, open from Windows the Doom 3 folder and see what folder there are, all folders are mods, except the base and d3xp, that are the official folders.

the best way is to open up the mods you wanna have ingame and then merge them as your own mod, thats how i usually do anyway :) *ed* btw Dafama, will you release a merged mod of your D3look and D3 inthedark please??? Would be awesome imho :)

thank you very much for your help.

I am really having trouble figuring out how to combine the Denton Enhanced mod with the brilliant highlights mod. there are so many files that have the same names.

To combine the Denton Enahanced mod with BH, just take my glprogs/interaction.vfp and glprogs/test.vfp files from any of my mods, for example D3_Alpha or Unpredictable or BHNG latest version and copy to the Denton's enhanced folder into the glprogs folder, ok, always make backups first !!!

The Denton Enhanced mod doesnt have a glprogs folder. So if I copied the glprogs folder into /DentonMod, do I just copy those two files or the whole folder?

I tried it (i think), and it seemed to look not as good as dentonmod did already. Now I cant figure out if adding BHNG is even a good idea or not. Does it just alter some of the same things differently or would combining it actually add to dentonmod?
