Hey, waddya mean I am a bully? I resemble that remark!!! Guess I should have hovered my mouse pointer over the little green squares sooner.... Ig
This is nothing but spam :withstupid:
That's a global system setting. n0e set them up like a mob syndicate's rank system. Bully is much better than some of the other terms. Many of the WildWest people who have karma points have them because I gave them out to promote use of the WildWest forums. But due to a bug it gave them as almost as many points as I had. So I had to stop doing that. I decided to wait until people had 50 posts. By the time you had 50 posts through the bug was fixed and it is taking you much longer to reach the level many of us are at. Everyone else just took one time of giving them karma. Now that I can give out fewer points again, Karma can start being a useful promotional tool. And I should start using it again. I just gave some to MikkelMikkel because he is an active supported of the WildWest. The funny thing is that for some reason, the last 5 people who gave me karma haven't actually raise my points at all. I guess it is because I was the last person to give them karma I don't know. Anyway, that may be fixed too. So, that's why you're a bully, I'm a wheelman, Hewster is a fixer (I had to make sure he had more than me!), ElDragon is a Felon, Ronald is a lowly "Upstanding citizen" and WildWest DK was "Nobody Special" till I just gave him points and made him a PickPocket.
well I also think that it's based on who is giving the points. a mega point person giving kudos should have more weight than a 'nobody special' or the karma points would soon be worthless in my opinion. lol also just noticed this. there are 2 buttons right next to each other doing the same thing. the [reply] button and then the sheet to the right of it. Looks Like I'll have to dig up the fix-it notice forum again...
re: two buttons One takes you to the quick reply field. The other takes you to a reply field with the current post inserted in a quotes wrapper. re: Points it is based upon the giver's carma level too since a person with only 10 karma does not effect you at all. However, these people had well over 1000 karma points and should not have had a problem. I don't know what the current algorithm is for this. I expect it is still weighted but there is a max you can give out.
