I know the chances of this request being answered are unlikely at best, but I figured I'd try anyway. I know that more than one D3 player has suffered the problem regarding the issues surrounding the Registry files that get installed with Doom 3 and Ressurection of Evil. That is to say when you install it, the registry files update once and only once and then sit on your computer. This leads to serious problems when it comes to uninstalling, reinstalling, or installing the expansion. When it patches the registry will remember it but will never update itself if you uninstall the game. So, let's say you play the game and expansion, decide you're done with it and uninstall it. A few months to a year passes and you suddenly get the urge to play it again. So you pull it off your shelf, install it and the system tells you that it needs to update... but that you can't update because you already have the latest installed. At the same time if you try to install the expansion afterward it'll say that it needs the new patch but since your system doesn't actually have it on there, it becomes impossible to install, so one would have to manually go into their registry and and manually delete every single string related to the games in order for it to work. I'm proposing that an executable be released that would automatically target these registry files and delete them so that players wouldn't suffer these same kinds of problems.

I remember having problems like this back when I still played MOHAA. They made an executable for that as well, which worked wonders. Good luck with making one, as it won't be easy. But very useful nonetheless.
