True, but the movie I can bend and twist the story a little. With the RE games, I dont know where to start from....If someone did RE1 with the mansion and wesker,joseph,chris,barry,and jill. Well it would be like deja vu and they could zip right through the mod with little trouble. Now if someone did an RE3 mod, well thats different but not everyone likes jill valentine, and long haired carlos oliveira. I like the movie idea better, becuase there hasnt been a game completely about it, so you have the freedom to add and change things. The Zombies in the movie had far from normal eyes, when Rain died(she shouldntve) her eyes turned to the pale blue color. The zombies were also quite slow, and besides that the RE movie mod would be easeir to do, becuase you dont have to make things like floor textures for the most part from scratch.

ps.There is a explanation that is the T-virus the Hive told you in the movie.

I see your logic and I am with you on writing constraints, i thought that you were trying to do a mod that was the exact same as the movie, i see now that I was mistaken though. I wish you luck in that then, just remember to make it interesting.

Thanks, now im must find people who are willing to take the idea, and put it into reality. Which hopefully someone will have interest in this mod, and make it, Im only a story writer.:bawl: Maybe ill post this idea in moddatabase if no one here claims it, ill try it.

How much more of shambling zombies do you want? Jeez. I must say that it not being very specific, you'll probably end up with some half-assed mods, that is unless you do it yourself.

I write stroies for mods, and I do music for mods.......I cant model and I cant map,texture,code, or skin. If need be this Idea will be converted to hl2, simply becuase there is a resident Evil Hive map, that has a mansion included as well so thats most of the work done.

Zombie mods never get old if done right!

Writing stories and "making music" are like the easiest things to do when making a mod. Story actually ain't that important, especially in a zombie mod. I'd suggest posting elsewhere for more hits. Try the gamingforums.com or planetdoom.com, etc etc. True, modelling, animation and scripting is hard [for me at least, lol.] but skinning is fairly easy. You're gonna need a big team for this mod you're talking about. Good luck.

i like the idea on a resident evil mod, i loved the games, but im pretty sure you would need to make new textures for the masion because doom3 is mostly millitary based.

Thats true, I was talking about the hive itself its concrete and tile except for some carpeted offices.
