A few times ago, a player named BBVVPLAYER joined the play. It's true that this player looks weird, his playing is weird, he (or she, I don't know) don't speak to anybody (maybe he/she don't speak english), and not really helpfull for the team he/she join.

In fact, and that's what really pisses me off, it is under these pretexts that players like Daylight and others ask for kicking him, and when i ask why, they anwers :"HE DO NOTHING". He/she's doing nothing bad, no camping, no TK (in fact he/she kill nobody), no swearing, NOTHING BAD.

This thread is for these "good" players who think that only them are worthy to play on Wild West. :moon: if you do not tolerate any beginner in the play, create a server, block it by a password and play with the other "elite" players. If you want to play on public server, then leave the beginners who you were to take of the pleasure to play, even if they have the odd air.

I really can't tolerate this way of thinking, that's why I post this thread.

I remember when those votes used to be called on me! I would wander around Pedro's harmonica totally lost. It seems really straight foward and simple now but if you don't look at it in spectator mode, you can just get totally lost! Anyway, I agree. People need a chance to learn. Not everyone has been playing since the first release of RtCW. A number of people are seeing the game for the first time with the platinum release. And to them, I say "WELCOME!!!"

i agree with you BD , but i think maybe the people who ask to kick him ( i never did it to him , i find him funny ) hope to get teams more equal ... i hope for them it's that ?

Hey vets, do what I do, If I spot someone totally lost, I'll track them down and give a 'follow me' and coach them through the maps. I've only had one person get mad at me for that (he attemted a vote lol) till someone else pointed out I was on the design team, then he actually paid attention to my advice and started to have fun. Definately buddy up with anyone that wants to learn the maps. You'll also not I've got the url's for this forum and the guide pages bound on a key too (as well as an 'attn new players, feel free to ask me any questions you may have about the wild west mod or this map')

yea BBVVPLAYER is pretty sweet, often he just standing still and looking around and then i know it is him soo i don't shoot at him :). But then sometimes he suddenly fire the gun against me and of course then I kill him immediately. I think it is wrong to try kick the guy. Let him know the game.

Clarification: I am unsure what BBVV's deal is, and I am as tolerant as the next guy, but he is beginning to irritate me, and I have, in fact, issued a vote kick because of him TKing me. Last night (I think) he stood at the door to the bathroom in KFG and shot at every player that ran by. He shot me like 5 times before I finally TKed him. When he was not shooting me, he stood there and switched between the Henry and the binoculars dozens of times. Later on, in Harmonica, he sat at the top of the ladder at the bandit spawn for half the game, not moving. Again, I had to TK him to get up the ladder. He eventually stood on top of the spawn and sniped. At what I don't know, but he was at least not an impediment to other players. Let me be perfectly clear on this: I DO NOT, I repeat, I DO NOT have a problem with him standing around doing nothing. I DO NOT have a problem with him occasionally TKing me, or anyone else for that matter. If, in fact he is trying to learn the game and is experimenting or exploring, God Love him! At worst, he is tying up a slot preventing someone else from playing. This is no worse than many of us that sit and spectate for extended periods. However, I have tried to contact him, and he (I assume "he" is a he) but he never chats back or seems to have any idea of what the game is about, or even that he should follow anyone, or watch for messages sent directly to him. It is NOT always that he does nothing, though that is often the case. In my opinion, he is most likely a small child playing on his parent's computer, or that is my guess anyway. I know that he irritates other players, who then want to kick him. BD, I understand where the "elite" opinion comes from, but for the most part, I don't think it applies here. I am as big a cheerleader of WildWest, and FPS gaming in general, as there is. I would be more than happy to meet BBVV on my server, and take as long as it takes for him to get the hang of the game and the maps. However, I don't think this is possible, due to the inability to communicate with him. I am afraid, and I know that this is likely to be an unpoplar and politically incorrect opinion, but when things are slow and there is room for BBVV on the server, then I have no problem leaving him alone to do his thing. But when the server fills up, or if he starts shooting his own team members, then I have no problem kicking him. I think that any players who come in contact with him should attempt to see if he is paying attention, or seems to understand. If he can be made to understand, then let's try to educate him and help him along. If he is some 4 year old kid, left alone on Daddy's computer, or is absolutely clueless and beyond help, then I would vote in favor of a kick, under the appropriate circumstances. I am grateful he did not choose to become a pilot. Ignacio

I think ig's diagnosis may be correct. The more I hear, the more I'm willing to believe it's a 'younger folk' who doesn't know the game. I.e. how to chat (took me 3 months to realize there was team only and global chats) so lets see if we can 'learn him the ropes'

Perhaps that it is a very young player, it is what I thought too. You are right Ignacio, if he (how can you be sure he's "he" since he don't talk to anybody?) TKing anybody, then it's out the door, beginneer or not, that's the way it goes, no discussion on this (he shot me a few times but never TKing me). but the times where I saw that one wanted to kick him, there was no reason. The server was not full, it was in its corner, switching between the Henry and the binoculars again and again (I observed it as a spectator, it is really attractive!). It is less the fact of kicking him than the circumstances in which that was done. You said it, the problem is that we can't communicate with him. But I do not despair to contact him, if it can start the game (except if his parents make it), he must be able speak with chat even if he doesn't fly a plane (thanks god)!

I don't know I get the feeling poor BBVVplayer may be lacking in the upstairs department as the times he plays till very late at night (UK time). It's obvious he's in the Europe area as he has a very low ping. I think that I have to agree with Iggy in the sense of if he's taking up a server space when it's full then he should be removed to give other players a chance but if the servers empty then leave him be BUT if he's bleeding fellow team mates then he should be told and if he persists then he should be kicked.

He seems to be getting more involved with the action now as a few times i've actually seen him shoot at the opposite team and sometimes actually hit. You never know he might end up finding every bug in every map and wipe the floor with us all. :nodding:

You might also find that he's an airline pilot for Virgin airways.

Hey all,

I think that bbvvplayer has changed his name to Lawplayer. I saw Lawplayer doing the exact same thing on Lone Wolf a few minutes ago. At least BBVVplayer figured out how to change his name.:uhoh:  Hacko
