Greetings gang, though this would be a good place to give ol' hewster some ideas of what we would like to see in Wild West Mod in the future.

I'd like to see some additions I've seen in other mods such as:

Push/drag players (both shrub and bani have this) in shrub the +salute command will push a standing player or drag a prone one (get the wounded out of fire!)

Play Dead as above both mods have a playdead command that you can bind. hit it a second time and you stand back up but have to wait a second or 2 before you can move. believe it or not playing dead can be very helpful, though your also a sitting duck if they know your only playing. (also makes for more paraniod play too, do you spend the time/ammo gibbing that body  )

I'd also like to see some tweeks to some of the maps such as:

Canyon (fix spec mode so ya can actually learn the map grr) one of the toughest maps w/ the scattered spawning and you can't brows it at all.

Hasienda (there are some roofs & areas you could theoretically get to but can't)

Town (a retakable flag at tavern governing where cowboys respawn would make for more use of 'town buildings')

nice keep them comming :)

how about doctors / sherrifs (and captains) leave health packs & ammo when gibbed ?

and miners have unlimited bombs & TNT, but linked to their weapon bar, and they can also give out explosives rather then the sherrif ? (like doctors with molotovs)

I'd also like to give sherrifs / captains something else special, but can't think of anything atm (no not calling in cannon attack ! that would be too boring)

how about buildable/moveable cannon's for destrying walls (would need maps made specoifically for this)

or ridable horses (I'm actually working on this ;) )

"YES"...........Thank you Hewster..... Canons.. Built.. moveable maybe.. But most of them especailly in fort's would have been on Train tracks... Moved forward for attack.. If you can create one that would be able to be used by players thru out map ,,like the tank in ET.. Wow that would be something... I have more pics and sites if you would be interested...? Peace... I would prefer to see the minor handing out the dynamite and related explosives, as logically that's his profession (rather than the doctor).

Why not let the sheriff/captain be responsible for the ammo packs. Again it seems weird for the doctor to be involved in this - shouldn't he be out there saving lives ? :)

I love the trumpet idea (though not sure how Hewster would work it) but if he could I'd make it relative to his 'charge' bar (would increased team stamina be a 1/2 or a full bar action? I'm thinking full) It would also add fun paranoia knowing what is coming when you hear a trumpet (not a stealth attack for sure)

Cannons ya gotta be careful about. Basically cannons of this erra needed a crew of 3-4 men, and the types of shots were not what hollywood would make you think. Cannon shot usually was a solid ball that would bounce allong the ground through the tightly packed men (the patriot got it right) The other 2 types of shot were grape and canister (think very large shot gun gang) which were reserved for when you were about to be overrun. Exploding shots were just coming into being but required lighting a fuse then shooting (usually short barrel morter form) How this would be incorporated into wild west I'm not sure, for it would be a very impractical weapon with a very slow reload and poor movement. I would probaly recomend using a 3# cannon (horse cannon) for they were very light (100#) and would be the easiest for a lone man to manuver (not too well) a 3# shot is a solid ball about 2" in diameter. The cannon would be turned by pushing/pulling on one of the wheels and elevated by pushing/pulling a block under the back of the gun. (now you see why you need a team for the cannon) Also you would need to sponge out the barrel after each shot or the next charge of gunpowder rammed down would go off (boom  ) All in all it would only be good for 1 or 2 suprize shots at a spot where you think the enemy will be coming (not a snap attack but a planned defence) I could see possibly having then (say 1 or 2 per side) for a fort attack senario where trying to destroy the other guns (or gates/cover) would be their only real use. Both sides would need to manuver them for the first shot. Then see if they can keep from blowing themselves up.

I'll agree with El-Dragon that there is a team needed to move/operate the cannons, this will slow down the totality of the gameplay. Personally I wouldn't like to see the gamespeed going down (Hewster has just speeded it up with 7%)

I like the Docs having the molitavs and giving them out...makes sense..he carries the alcohol to clean wounds. The miners have plenty of explosives to use and those are more useful than molitavs anyway. If docs didnt have any special benefits no one would want to play medic. Reviving is fun...but if thats ALL you do...its boring.

I dont know if theres anything Id wish for other than the mentioned shrub functions. Id like to pick up enemy weapons if that isnt already a feature (I forget).

As mentioned before I would also like screaming when someone is set on fire...that would be hilarious.

What I'd really like to see are more maps. The longevity of Bolty's originals is a testament to their greatness, but I have to say it's getting a bit repetitious after 7 months. Canyon and Harmonica are awesome, but are only 2 of 5. Hewster, you gotta make a map! (not necessarily train robbery).
