So is anyone able to max out the settings and still maintain a FPS greater than 50 even when attacked by monsters??? My rig I can only get 50-60 at 1600x1200, Ultra high, and no AA. It dips to around 35 when i'm attacked heavily though.

Im not sure. Im having problems running it in High Quality, 800x600 with all the advanced stuff on low :( I basically have the same computer you do but I have the 6800 GT. What gives! I get best performance from putting graphics on Low Quality, 1024x768, all advanced options on. I can even run it at 1600x1200 and dont see a diference if I keep it on Low Quality. The funny thing is, it recomends High Quality 800x600 but it lags so bad its unbearable. Help?

well, i did the cachemegs tweak and got a dozen more fps this time. also i have a really really really good monitor. i got the Samsung Syncmaster 997DF which is a CRT and it puts out 1600x1200 naturally and i have that at 85hz. but your problem with low FPS seems to be something else. the GT should be able to do pretty good. have you done the cachemeg tweak? make sure your AGP aperture is set to 128 or 256 in your BIOS? have more RAM? I did try 640x480 with max AA at 16x and i was able to get 42 FPS with the time demo. but the 1600x1200 is sooooooo much more beautiful that i rather see the 1600x1200. do you think i can get more FPS if i bought the Athlon FX 53 processor? will i see much of a difference from my P4 3.0 Ghz?
