It depends on which resolution your monitor supports, but go into your Doom 3 directory and look for a folder called "base." In that folder is a file called "DoomConfig." Open that with wordpad or notepad. When opened, hit Ctrl+F for a search tool to come up.

Your first stop will be to search for "r_mode." Once you find it, there will be a number in quotations next to it. Whatever it is, change it to "-1." After that, find "r_customwidth" and "r_customheight" and change the numbers to your screen resolution's width and height respectively. Your third adventure is to find "r_aspectratio" which you should change to "2" if you have a widescreen monitor. Otherwise, leave it at "0." Last but not least, create a line at the very bottom of the list of jargon that reads "vid_restart" without quotations.

In no time, you will be back to shooting the demons we all know and love.

(Note: To find your monitor's maximum resolution look around in the control panel of your computer. The width is always listed before the height.)
