Alright guys, its my first post here, and I have a really annoying problem. I just bought Doom 3, quite possibly the best video game ever concieved, but when I try to play it, there is an error message saying 'Cd/dvd emulation software has been detected, please disable all Cd/Dvd emulation software and restart the game.' and to my knowledge I do not have ANY emulation software on my computer. Please PLEASE use your brains for this one guys, and help me out of a jam!!!!!!!!!!

It might be a fault with the cd, try it on another computer and if its still the same, take it back to the shop and get a new one.

That error is a copyprotection error. Its function is to prevent ripped games to be played using emulated CD roms. Visit the official doom3 site and search their forum, or contact their support for solutions.

There hasnt been any patches yet, there are bound to be a few infant errors.

Don't have Alchol %120 installed or anything, I heard that can help fix the problem.

You know, if you had checked the Doom help forum, you would have seen that this question was already answered. :)
