I have just added another 512mb of RAM to my pc giving it a total of 1024mb of pc3200 RAM. It plays really well but now my pc just quit to the desktop and restarts itself. It also happens when I play other games too.I have a AMD Athlon 64 3500, Asus A8N motherboard, 1gb of RAM, Geforce 6800GT PCI-E, Tagan 480W PSU. Why is this doing that and can anyone please help me?:(

Find a memory testing program to see if that ram stick you added is bad. If so then return it ASAP so you can get a new stick:D Now does this happen when you start playing, or this after some play time?

It happens after about 30 seconds of playing doom 3. It also quits back to windows when playing Battlefield vietnam after about 10 minutes. Could it be a power option such as the 'cool 'n' quiet' technology that the AMD processor has?

I have already tried that. It does not make any difference. Does it matter that my sticks are Cruial memory?

Yeah I guess that is the only other way of fixing it. Anybody else had the same problems as me?

64bit is really tweaky with D3. If you can run apps in 32bit mode, I'd suggest that (not sure, haven't used 64bit OSes yet)
