Actually, that is the Guardian of Hell which you are fighting. It is blind, and those that it spawns are seekers: they shine light on your, and the Guardian is only able to "see" what is in the light. Therefore this is the key to defeating the monster: destroy all seekers (preferrably with the rocket launch or BFG when they are grouped), and you will see the demon begin to spawn additional ones from a blue light above him. That is his weak point, so attack it with all you have (and do your best to avoid the waves of fireballs that the beast unleashes along the groud while spawning seekers). Basically, you must destroy the seekers and attack the blue light continuously.

first you have to shoot the floating flashlight guys then when he has a blue thing over him and he is making more shoot the blue thing eventually he dies and you recieve the soul cube
