SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME BY TELLING ME HOW TO TURN ZIPS BACK TO PK4S BECAUSE I WAS LOOKING AT THE PAKS AND TEK TOLD ME TO LOOK PAK FILES IN ZIP AND NOW MY DOOM3 GOT SCREWED. I DIDNT EDITED ANYTHING SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO TURN ZIPS BACK TO PK4s

i think you could unzip them entirely into the doom3/base folder and then delete the zips

Create a new text document in the base folder. Type this line EXACTLY: ren *.zip *.pk4 Save the file as "zip2pk4.bat" WITH QUOTES. It should have an icon with a yellow cogwheel in a little window. Double-click the icon. Voila!

OR

On any folder window, click Tools>Folder Options, click the View tab and uncheck the option to "Hide extensions for known file types". Then, go to your base folder and you should be able to fix your booboo.

Never mess with files if you're a noob. Ever.

sounds like you placed a mod in your base directory that is incompatible with another mod. maybe you should remove those mods and place them in separate directories and see if it works then.

lol , i never found use in all these file type prgrams , all i do is rename the .*** file to w/e i need and rename it back when im done if i need to

Some people don't see extensions, so if they rename *.zip to pk4, they end up with *.zip.pk4.
