Whenever I launch doom 3 it gets to where it is initializing the user interface. Then it brings up an error that says the following: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Doom 3\doom3.exe abnormal program termination. I then have to press ok and the game closes. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue? I got a new MSI Nvidia Geforce FX5700LE video card. Before I had this card I had a Geforce 2 MX and downloaded the demo and it worked fine. Now even that won't play without getting this error. I noticed that my motherboard only supports up to agp 4x instead of 8x. Could this be causing the issue?

If anyone is having this problem I found that it can be solved by going into the bios and disabling 4x agp. This makes it be at 2x agp and for some reason it fixed the problem.

I"m not sure why this fixed it. My motherboard now only supports up to 4x agp. But however the 4x agp setting wasn't working for some reason. Anyway I'm gettin a new mobo thursday which will make it work at 8x i'm hoping.
