I just joined this site and downloaded the Perfected mod for Doom 3 (obviously). I followed the installation instructions thoroughly and when I changed the resolution settings and all that stuff, restarted the game as prompted, the settings returned to default (while running the mod). Is this a bug or did I miss something? If anyone can help me out, or even the creator of the Perfected mod, that would be awesome.

Almost all the mods includes into his folder at least two config. files, one is the Doomconfig.cfg file that is changed when you, the user changes your preferences from Doom 3 and the other is a file named Autoexec.cfg that is manually made by the mod maker, this file contains any setting that the modder wants to be unchanged, also this file is executed after the Doomconfig.cfg so anything you changed is overwritten again is this file if the Autoexec.cfg file contains another value for the same cvar, ok.

So you can do two things, one is to directly remove or rename the Autoexec.cfg or better you can edit with any ascii text editor program this file and manually change only what you want and save the updated file, exits the editor and run the D3 game. This time all will be fine, ok !
