Ok, for those interested, I have some good links to help understand VIS in your maps:
NOTE: the last 2 are Quake3 tuts, and some of the figures can be increased now, eg max tris is ok upto 20,000.. even 25,000 if there are not too many shaders / esp. alpha blended shaders in view.
As always, try and find a friend with a lower spec machine to test your maps on, minimum I would recommend is 800Mhz PIII with Geforce2 32Mb.
