I've been overclocking my processor for Doom 3. But when I disabled overclocking, there seemed to be no change in the game's performance, and an INCREASE in frame rate if anything. Odd.....I seem to recall reading an article regarding this but it isn't clear to me why this would happen.

Some games run worse on overclocked cpu's, cuz of texture rendering or whatevah... or so ive heard.

Well.... What he said. No big deal really, u got the game working right? Increase in framerate? What more can u ask of. ;)

Yea sometimes if you overclock to far you get bad preformance.

Really? I guess I will keep it off for good then. It's not like my AMD Athlon 64 2.30 GHz 3600+ processer needs to be overclocked anyway.

What I really need is more RAM. I only have 512 MB.

Ok 1 there is an edit button please use it. Also yes more ram is better. And your CPU is better then good for it.
