I want to give modding a go. First of I want to change the Sisters of Battle by changing one unit and adding a couple more as well as change their skins a bit. I can't however find any place good that explains what tools I need or how to work them. Sooo, how do I get started? Thanks!

Right firstly.. please do try to use Relic's offical modding forum first. It will answer your question much faster and with better precision. Also the fact it is Relic's modding forum! There is countless tutorials there and lists of all the programs you will need: Dawn of War - Adeptus Modificatus – RelicNews Forums In future I'd suggest looking here first for those kinda question. Now to asnwer you questions directly: Adding units/changing units, you will need: Corsix's Mod Studio - Downloads Or: RelicNews Forums - DC Mod Tools 1.2 Also if you use the above link you will need this for SS: RelicNews Forums - Soulstorm .LUAs and DoW Max 9 Exporter To skin however.. you will need a program much alike Photoshop OR Photoshop.. note you may have to pay for software like that. Or at least get 30 day trial. Hope that helps.

Thanks I'll do that. There's just so many places to look for info I was getting lost. I have all the other tools you mentioned and I'm pretty proficient with them. Thanks again.

Just checked out the tools, damn they are confusing. It's like the creator wasn't thinking about the game when he built it. So much for interfacing. Anyway, what's the difference between for instance Sisters_Bolter and Sisters_Bolter_Battle_Sister? For many types of weapons there seems to be a "base" one and a unit specific one. Why is there a base one?

Well yu have to draw comparisons from which units use those respective weapons. the s_b could merely be the pistol while the s_b_b_s the standard weapon.
