Sorry if this question has been asked before. I tried searching the forum with google but I couldn't find anything closely related. I also tried searching Relic forums.
I have been using the Camera Zoom (1.2) (from here) for some time with DC and I think it is an improvement over the original camera. The only slight problem is that the camera angle is different than the original DC camera (see attached screenshots - first is default). I would like to restore the default angle/tilt on the camera, since I think it gives a better view of things. I'm aware that it might have a negative effect on the influence the horizon view distance when zoomed out.
Thinking "how hard can that be?", I opened the .lua's and read through them (very well commented, probably thanks to Gnome5). I tried fiddling with the DefaultAngle (set to 45) in the camera_low.lua, camera_high.lua and the camera_ed.lua in the Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\W40k\Data\ folder, but my changes did not seem to have any effect (tried various values ranging from -45 to 180).
As you may have guessed I have no modding experience. So I hope somebody can help me in understanding how this works. What is the point with having three different camera lua's? Do I need to change all of them? They are almost the same, i.e. only very few values differ.
I have attached the .lua's (renamed to .txt) thinking maybe somebody would look at them and tell me what values that influence this?
Thank you. :)
I found a solution with the help of Incarnate at Relic forums. Go here if you are interested.
