This is my first ever thread so please bear with me..... I am relatively new to the modding scene and have only used a few mods and such, i've seen some pretty sick mods such as the daemonic inquisition and the steel legion, and other mods like lotw and scourge of chaos. I just wanted to know if there was a way to mix mods together, i know there is a combiner mod but it only combines the mods for races i.e. (the above), i want to know if you could mix things like lotw and steel legion? (sorry it took so long to get to the point)=p:confused:

From my Previous modding knowledge of another game, i would say no....

If you were to combine mods, you'd have to take units recode them, put there models and textures in the folders too, for every mod you want to put it,

so it is possible if you take recode and place, but it will be very, very, very lengthly

But then again I'm basing this of Prior knowledge, you might want another person to post to see if im actually correct

All addon races (like Steel Legion and Daemonhunters) are balanced with normal DC, so a total rework like LOTW would not work with any other mod.

Edit this part of the module file.

RequiredMod.1 = objective_points_DC RequiredMod.2 = DXP2 RequiredMod.3 = W40k And add the line RequiredMod.4 = (the name of the mod you want to add) Won't be balanced but it should work.

He already knows about the combiner mod, he wants to add a race mod to the LoTW mod. gilso1 use note pad to open the LotW module file (shown below) [global] UIName = LotW: Apocalypse Description = DllName = WXPMod Playable = 1 ModFolder = apocalypse ModVersion = 0.3.0 TextureFE = Art/UI/Textures/Title_winter_assault.tga TextureIcon = ;; ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ;; List of folders to map for this MOD ;; order is important - the first Archives registered will be scanned for files first DataFolder.1 = %LOCALE%\Data DataFolder.2 = Data DataFolder.3 = Data_Shared_Textures\%TEXTURE-LEVEL% DataFolder.4 = Data_Sound\%SOUND-LEVEL% DataFolder.5 = Data_Music DataFolder.6 = Data_Whm\%MODEL-LEVEL%

;; ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ;; List of MODs that this MOD requires to work RequiredMod.1 = lotw RequiredMod.2 = DXP2 RequiredMod.3 = W40k

Then just add the line RequiredMod.4 = steel_legion_DC

the problem with a lotc and steellegion combination is, that lotc brings new elements to the other races, which are not inherent to steellegion Thus you'd have completely different mechanics.
