Just new to the whole map making thing. I finished my map, and now I want to submit it. How do I exactly save it or export it? I am using zipgenius 6, but I cant seem to get it to save (.sgb wont show on zipgenius menu). Any help would be appreciated.

I hope they do. I guess the only comeback to anyone ragging on my map would be for them to produce a better looking map. Win-win situation. But yeah, I have all of my screen pics, but I still don't know how to save the file to submit.

Heres a screen pic of my map.

Looking Good!!:) Just use a file hosting service like yousendit!! but compress your map first either by using winrar or winzip.

Thanks for the advice! But the major problem I have is that I cannot get the .sgb map to show up in the zipgenious menu so that I can package it and upload it. How do I archive a .sgb map?

Can anyone tell me the method they use to submit maps?

Put it all inside a folder first!! The sga.file including the readme and some screenies along with the loading folder for the loading screen(optional) with the Tga's for the minimap and the map itself they have the same name of as the map(important if you dont want complaints about a green minimap) .Then compress it. Btw If you dont put a readme on it your map it might get an anonymous tag or might not even get posted.. And yes yousendit deletes the file it hosts after a week..Plenty of time if you ask me!!;) Unless dowfiles is understaffed again. You won't have to worry about the map not getting posted.

Good point! Thanks for reminding me about the green minimap thing...I forgot about that. I'll look for a tutorial.

But I tried to save it to a folder outside the root folder and I got this message...

I tried saving it to all folders both within the THQ folder and outside (i.e. desktop) and it still wont let me save it.

save it in C;\ prog........\dawn of war - dark crusade\dxp2\data\scenrios\mp\Siege of Port Kiburon (8)\Siege of port kiburon (8).sgb put the minimap files in this folder as well.

then zip that folder (recommend you get winrar - you can use it indefinately)

then first upload the map to let's say axifile, and post it here, we will comment it :) and then submit it to dowfiles. Also recommend one overhead screenshot
