I got some model i want to try in dawn of war Winter assault i need to know some simple thing like how to convert .OBJ to WHE or how to export .OBJ from 3D Max Studio (and) DaZ Studio 1.3 other thing, do the constrain of the model will be exported to ? or do a need to re-anime it in the OBject Editor from RELIC TOOL ? Relic gave the Obj Editor with the tool but the relic format is unknow to me, i think it's *.EPB <--- what are those and how to convert the from *.obj / *.3ds / *.dsd i really need to know because when i've master that part of 3d modeling, i'll GLADLY offer my skill for the community and to anyone who NEED TO BE HELPED ! I want to keep the community alive !! and belive me, one more ( free of charge ) 3D MODDER could really help ! and i'm willng to take the challenge if someone help me to do what's above... el have u been to the RDN forum? or ripped some tutorials from the RDN ([COLOR=black]Relic Developers Network[/COLOR]) http://www.relic.com/rdn/, i found it easyer then waiting for posts and not understanding it all, cos it is a bit of a callenge if youv never done moding befor.

Sure I've seen it, Thx, But i perfer to post here for, a must say, unknow reason As for MOD it almost don't have any secret left for me ( only using the ME ) as for the model part, well... that's kind of new to me. I'm already able to make my own model but don't know how to export them / convert them in WHM or EBP ( relic form which i don't understand ) indeed i got the 3D max Plug-in that come with the tool, But what exactly are they suppose to do ?? got the script running but no model show up in the max reator-export menu ??

if you put the plugin in the right spot then when u go to save your model in 3ds max a save file option for dow (WHM)will be in the dropdown menu under the name save, its been a while since i did this stuff but from there you open it up in the object editor and pin animations and other stuff to it and save it (WHE) and bring it up in the attribute editor within your army or as a stanalone model. but dont get me wrong it takes a while to learn.

i think it just gose in ether the root folder or if theres a plugin folder (it's been a good year since i played with 3ds max 7) also i think it says somewere in the mod tools text/help doc.

c'mon rep me, hit the scales u know u want to.

Ok Finaly use something else, Santos tool, but.... converting seem an impossible thing to do, Ok i got WHM, ( got them, and now ?? ) the Object Edit only use EBPS files ? so how do i use it in the game, Do i have to animate the model using Max ? thing like put the gun in firing position, fall down when dead ? I only got a single Block model that i've made. it fit in the game lake that, so next ?

if i remember right all the OE uses lots of files its a matter of using the right file for the right dropdown in the right order i cant stress enough about getting a tutorial for the OE cos i will take me 1. weeks to remember & 2. months to explane step by step, beleave me it stars to get complicated now. but its not impossibl keep at it and youll work it the end. note i failed at this i got as for as puting my FX into a new mod after using th AE and just kept geting the pink boxes cos i did not have not right bone piont or somthing like that then my 30 day trial on max 7 ran out so i gave up.

find out about the Santos Tool, outdated don't work anymore, or it's me, i went as far as copying motion, to a EBP file but the OE won't reconize it, can i make my own motion, ?? and THEN save as EBP ? still , it's only ONE of those i,ve build, the fact is a simply PACK several Wep on it since a could not use it in game, i seem to be Gifted with 3d max, if only i had more time with it ( because it's a registed version of my sister Boyfreind ) i don't like me moch i'm getting better then him, the fact : He get paid to do it !!! :O)

won't have the 30 day trial constarin ( wink, wink ) but i might get to make thing Flay, for REAL, is it just me or to do the process is the Worst thing that could possibly exist on a gaming utilities ? i mean, Model, no prob, getting the mode, had a hard time but no prob now, poly count,, no prob even making Kick animation with complex screen using REACTOR not f/***k rob, exporting a single thing like a model to be in whm format, seem like a BIG no-no thing. Every tutorial file i've senn and use are different, one tell do " this ", the other tell to to ABSOLUTLY NOT DO "THIS!" the worst about it for me, is the OBJ EDITOR why (X) the file is unknow to any project ??? SUre it is i'm Building the stuuf how could it possibly be know to the project ? what project ? to i have to tell RELIC of my doing, ( correct folder path TRIPLE check as for plug as ofr any other thing, ) ooufffss, I feel better now. just i call that quiting ! yeppiee !! ( is telling my Brother in law ) Which get paid to do half the thing i tried. at lower quatily, !! sorry,, OK let's call it quit, You win 3dmax..
