well, i could imagine that, tau an ig do av a kinda understandin but can ally if needed, now, i have forgotten where it was but tallarn daesert raiders uncovered a black gate, the eldar were ready to attack. the gate opened and millions of deamons poured out, both ig and eldar fought together. afterwards the eldar burried the gate. and it was left alone

i think that ig and eldar having some sort of an alliance would be a great idea, the eldar with their endless knowledge and the ig with their good military supplies and tanks and stuff. it would work.

Another example of a agreement would be the Coven of Isha were The high seer of Ulthwe has made an agreement with the inquisitorial station of Ramugan or something like that

Hmm...i think ive heard that before, Isha...dunno where, anyways the Tactica Imperium says that it is fit for a commander to seek a temporary alliance with a humanoid xeno if needed. The alliance should last the battle or possibly crusade and no longer.

So, that means that the only xeno unable to be allied (temporarily) with are tyranids, and i don't think they'd listen very well if anyone asked, so that isn't a problem.

I think there have been instances where the Imperium has even 'allied' with orks (REad: Bought as mercenaries or something like that). It's just a matter of military limbo - How low can you go, all depending on what you ahve, what the enemy has, and what is available. a world close to an ork warlord's territory is corrupted by chaos, but imperial forces are just about nill, so the imperium would have no problems with getting the Orks to do the dirty work for them. Same works with eldar and tau.

See Andon I get that point but im not talking about doing dirty work that can be done without a mutual agreement the Coven of Isha was a agreement that was later held up. And the Eldar and Space Marines fought together just like Dawn of War the book they were together to see I think there is a difference between mercenaries and actual alliance.

There is a huge difference between mercenaries and allies btw. Mercenaries will fight for money. Whilst allies will help you out etc. The Kroot only work for the Tau because they pay well. But the Kroot have been known to work for the Imperial Guard, Eldar, Dark Eldar and even Orks, and i think working for Orks is pretty low (at least they were paid)

Ive heard of Kroots working for the Ordo Xenos of the inquisition wich means they will do anything for money even if they are helping something trying to destroy every alien in the Galaxy

SHUMA22And the IG would die Before joining the Xenos.

I take it that you've never heard of the Gue'vesa. They're the Tau Human Auxilliaries. http://uk.games-workshop.com/chapterapproved/tau-auxiliaries/

On another note, is anyone planning on doing a mod of this?
