As you may know, I am creating a new race.I originally named it DEATH, just because I couldn't remember what the name was supposed to be, but then, I had an error, and just deleted it, folder, and mod file. I started a new mod, with the name assassinmod, I used this guide.

Yes, Corsix's Mod Studio is of the win. Much faster and easier to use and it can do more than just attribute editing. Anyway, onto your question. I'll assume you're making a new race called Ultramarines so examples are easier. Replace Ultramarines with your race.

0. Open Corsix's Mod Studio and choose New Mod. Call it ultramarine_mod.

1. Copy the racebps of another race (preferably a similar one, so space_marine_race) and rename it ultramarine_race. Open ultramarine_race and replace all mentions of space_marine in the race_path section with ultramarine.

2. Go into ultramarine_mod/attrib/ebps/races and create a folder called ultramarines. Go into this folder and create folders called troops and structures.

3. Change space_marine_tactical_bolter with the Mod Studio in the space marine's ebps folder to have 10 more health, save and change it back. Now you can go into ebps/races/space_marines/troops and copy that into ultramarines/troops. Rename it to ultramarine_tactical_marine. You now have your basic Tactical squad in there.

4. Copy that squad and paste it into ultramarines/structures and sbps/races/ultramarines. Rename the one in structures to ultramarine_hq and the squad to ultramarine_squad_tactical. We do this because we can't create a file in a new folder with the Mod Studio, there has to be one there in the first place.

5. Switch to the Mod Studio; you won't need to mess around with folders any more. Go into space_marine_hq, right click on game_data and choose copy. Go into ultramarine_hq, right click on game_data and paste. You now have an HQ building. Go into sbps/races/space_marines and copy space_marine_squad_tactical's game data, then paste it over ultramarine_squad_tactical. You have a squad.

6. From here on, modding proceeds as per usual. Fix up the squads you have now so that ultramarine_squad_tactical consists of ultramarine_tactical_marine entities. Copy ultramarine_hq and rename it to ultramarine_generator, ultramarine_listening_post or whatever and copy the space marines version of that building over it. If you don't already know how to mod normally, then stuff around with things like making a Terminator squad that has every member equipped with an assault cannon and giving Force Commanders 10,000 health rather than adding a new race. You need to know how to do normal modding if you want to make new races.

Just so you know, the game looks for death, cant find it, then goes to normal soulstorm. I use game manager to go to assassin_mod, so I don't know whats happening. If anyone can find anything in here, great and thanks, but I'm not very experienced.

it means that you must have at least one squad made for your new race before it will work, i dunno if this will help but i had the same problem as u for ages so when i figured it out i put this up New race skeleton, Dawn of War Downloads, Dawn of War Mods so if ure making a new race just start there. hope i helped

Sorry, I kind of realized it might be that, because I used an IG assassin as my squad, but I guess he is considered a leader, not a squad, right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but is that my error?

Redart does these errors say in corsix mod studios also because that's what the warning log is saying not the the corsix mod studios.
