Well for starters, choose a race and click on new scheme, then type in the name of your army, this is completely up too you but I personally try to come up with a name that sort of fits in with the default ones, for example one of my Eldar armies is called leye zrul. Then you need to come up with a color scheme, there are 5 colored circles on the left of the screen labelled primary, secondary, trim, weapon, and trim2. It's smartest to start with primary, click on it and you should see a large spetrum of colors below the circles (btw the circles display the current color of that part), drag the dor around to pick a color and use the white black and grey bar next to it for brightness. After you have that done move on to secondary and so on. You can switch what unit you are looking at any time you want, it gives you two options to look at, a soldier and a vehicle, unless you are playing on a mod that adds a new race to the game, then you can usually look at almost every unit ab=vailable to that army. When your finished with your armies color scheme you can give your army a badge and a banner. A badge is a symbol that usually is shown somewhere on your units. A banner is your armies flag and is shown on any captured startegic point, critical location or relic. Unfortunetly unless you download a badge or banner pack you are stuck with default options which kinda ruins the originality of your army, but it's a minor detail. After that hit save scheme, and your done! Go back to see what your armies commander will look like and try out a game with then and see how they look, and remember if you ever want to change them in anyway you can, but unfortunetly this doesn't include name, if you really want to change their name then I would suggest switching to the army in the army painter, and select new scheme, then type in the name you want them to have and you will have two identical armies with different names, delete the one you don't want. Well that about covers it, good luck!

Go for something original, not including people paint their IG into TAU color to make them look like TAU auxiliary units.
