I'm new to this whole modding thing, but I've been playing Dawn of War for about 2 years now. Anyway. I'm getting kinda bored with the multiplayer maps, so I was wondering where I could find some sort of official Map Editor for Dawn of War, Winter Assault and/or Dark Crusade.

I'm fairly certain that given a map editor, I'll be able to figure it out pretty quickly, but any help that you guys could give me would be much appreciated. I'm talking about editting the caps of things like power generators and turrets per HQ, as well as the limit of HQ buildings. I'd also like to know if there's anyway to increase the squad and vehicle caps and increase the range of the control zones projected by HQ buildings, listening posts, webway portals and any other buildings that can project a control zone.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the tutorials, but where can I actually find the official map editor?

Here is the Map Editor which also has the Object Editor:

DC Mod Tools, Dawn of War Downloads, Dawn of War

I think these Mod Tools are a lot better than OE but it doesn't have a Map Editor:

Corsix's Mod Studio - General

We are looking forward to what you come up with, and welcome to the map/mod development community! :)

I just tried to install it, and it said in the installer that only Windows XP is supported. I'm running Windows Vista. Are there any modding programs that are compatible with Windows Vista?

I know that people are running it on Vista, but I'm still with XP myself. I would say to give it a try and it should work, as long as you have a good enough graphics card with enough discrete memory (for the Map Editor).

By the way Corsix does everything, and the map editor only makes maps.
