Been working on this since April, thought it's about time I posted something on here; A single-player campaign for DC (hopefully!) following the tale of one SM chapter's path to retribution. Oh, and there'll be some interesting stuff for you to play with along the way. ;) [Background] You take control of the Deathbringers Space Marine Chapter (led by one Captain Mortisius), a chapter with a dark history of corruption and taint. Sent on crusade along the Eastern Fringe to amend their failings, they are unexpectedly ordered to investigate disturbances of a dark nature in a remote region of space bordering Tau territory, and one planet in particuar. The campaign follows their exploration of this sector, fending off rural Orks, Chaos insurgents and local Tau forces, heading towards an event that will force them to face their past demons and prove their worth. The campaign wil add - new troops (Devastaters, veterans), with veterans being a chapter-exclusive squad of holier-than-thou reapers. - New Chaos troops (Havoc Squad, Bloodletters) - New character commanders; - Cpt Mortisius and Chapter Master Lord Diethen. - New model for an Inquisitor. - New Librarian (Gious) - A new weapon for the force commander in place of the Daemon Hammer (a skull encrusted scythe known as the Death Bringer). - Dreadnoughts (closer2codex/Octopus Rex's) with new selectable weapons. - New Chaos Lord. - New Daemon Prince. - New Khorne Champion. - 8/9 new and original maps/missions. - More 'realistically' sized troops & vehicles. - New soundtrack for in-game & menu. - New metamap, hopefully (so compatible with DC). Team Members: - Mystecore (Coder/story/maps/music/cinematics/fluff) - Panama (Modeler) - crazy death (Voice Actor) - Mellr0 (2d/icon artist) Texturers Needed! More Modeler's appreciated Animators Needed! Voice actors, fluff guru's also welcome! Some maps done so far; Captain Mortisius of the Deathbringers space marine chapter; Meet Lord Kelsh, servant of Khorne; Master of the Soul Slayers Librarian Gious Inquisitor Chalin of the Ordo Malleus; We are in need of people to texture/skin these and forthcoming models, also some small animation work I believe will be required. If you fancy a little project to keep you occupied (there's not a great many models to be done) plse PM ;)
Lovely looking maps and models, I'll keep an eye on your thread at Relic more often.
You make all those yourself? Lol we could use more modelers liek that in the Vostroyan Mod... Anyway good luck with that looks pretty cool and ill b sure to download!
Thanks guys. No, I didn't make the models myself, that award goes to our modeler Panama. The maps however are my doing.
Great Work! The models are amazing and I LOVE the new scythe idea. The maps are also of very high quality. I hope you get the help you need (I can do nothing useful, sorry) and deliver this excellent mod to the masses. There have been a lot of new mods popping up, but there has clearly been a lot of work put into this one. I also like the fluff around it. Keep up the good work!

The Crusade of Penance mod for Dow DC now has it's own website online. The site features screenies of maps, models and missions, video clips, background story and other odds n' ends. We'll be keeping it updated periodically with new developments and ideas so if you've 10mins to waste wander over and have a peek ;) The Crusade of Penance
In case anyone's interested this mod's about 38% complete. After a heap of computer problems I'm now currently coding mission 4 SCAR and adding new units for the space marines. Estimated release date is set for September, hopefully!
Beena while but I thought I'd let peeps know we've now 2 texturers and an additional 3 map makers on the team. As a result there are 4 maps in progress, which will complete the campaign pretty much once I've coded all the SCAR. also we have some models fully textured, some half textured, solme in-game. Ill try and post screenies this weekend if anyone's interested. Bit more info on relicnewsforums if you check that out. ;)
