right what models format are the models in DoW? you know like .3ds .alo etc
You need to save your models as .3dsmax in 3dsmax, then use the converter provided in the mod tools to change them into .whm files.
Ohhh thats good! my program can export them as .3ds! so i dont have to pay £2000 for it I can just use what im using now!

Erm, sorry, but unfortunately not. You still need the couple of thousand dollars/pounds of software, because the converter is a MaxScript that won't even work in GMax. It's one of the downsides of modelling in DoW, but you absolutely need 3DSMax for the final export (unless Relic decides to specifically create some GMax compatible scripts).
Don't forget, these mod tools are just the tools that they use, so they're built for the apps they use, i.e. 3DSMax.
