Firstly you need to download the mod tools from www.dowfiles.com . Once you have done that and installed it, select the mission editor. Select file from the task bar, and then decide if you want to edit an existing map or create your own. If you have downloaded any maps and want to edit them they can be found in the following location:- C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War\W40k\Data\scenarios\mp If you want to jump straight into making your own map select 'new'. It will then ask you what size of map you want. Start with a small one first. Im gonna leave it there for now. Have a play around with it and see how you get on. Post any further questions here and i'll try and help you best i can.

Wish i could help more, but clicking the mission editor then file new gives me a pop up box to set map parameters..

What does the cell size option in there refer too? Anyone have any info on setting flags for ai.. Ive played around with them a bit and they dont seem to be changing their behavior or travel paths. Ive made maps in a few dif. games and this one seems really programming skills intensive compared to the rest.
