I have a couple of questions, hope someone can help. 1. I was able to change the text in the game using the .ucs files but when I use the Attribute Editor to change the animation from lets say scout to sergeant, it works but the sergeant just glides over the ground holding a flag in his hand. How do you change the animation (sorry no new models) so they move as usual? 2. Trying to create a new unit. I copied the tactical space marine lua and renamed it to something else. I made the changes I wanted but when I point it to a building to create, the mod will not run. when I remove it and use the original lua it works fine. any ideas? 3. Is there a mod out there that has a helmetless space marine, what I need is a sergeant without the banner on his back.?

1. The 'flag' pose shows the animation is faulty or non-existant. As an example if you give frag grenades to a unit that doesn't normally have frag grenades when the grenades are thrown the unit goes into the 'flag' pose for a second or two as there isn't a matching animation for that action for that unit. 2. You need to make a ebps & sbps file for the unit and change the building ebps file that you want it to swawn from. Check al three files are correct and it should work. 3. There might be one out there but if not make a duplicate unit and alpha the banner out in the tga's and make a new wtp file....there are a few threads that explain how to do this as it's a bit tricky the first couple of times.

Ok, I did it wrong. Then how do you do it right? Also, when you create a new unit by copying an existing lua and renaming it. do you copy and rename the same unit file from ebps and sbps?

You can't change the animation via the luas or AE, it just can't be done. If you really have your heart set on making this change you would have to do it by XREF-ing animations from WHM files using Brother Santos' new tool, but this isn't the easiest thing to do and if I where you I would get to grips with the basic stuff first. Here's a link if you want to give it a go or keep it for later: XREFTool 0.1 As for the last bit, yes. If you ae making another unit based on a SM, copy the SM ebps and sbps, re-name them, edit as required and then add the swawner to the building ebps you want them built from. :)

Yeh, do like Razagel says, you need to do lots of studying first, get all the info together so you know where to look if you get stuck...that's half the battle, the rest is just practise. There's nothing really hard about modding, it's time and dedication...lots of both. Get your mod tools, get your 'my_mod' folder set up like the readme with the tools says and then just start small. You can always get help here or on the relic forums as long as others can seeing you're trying to solve things yourself first. Thank them afterwards and they will help you again. Get the latest patches, get WA if possible and get the latest tools if you're starting out as you'll get more support with the latest stuff. Have a go, it's great fun and it's a great community. :beer:

Hey anyone knows where i can finde in the Ae, where i can increase or decrease the special wepons like the missile launcher??
