Got an urban map I'm working on, but I started it out as a WA map. Is it possible to save it as a WA map and the later save it as an additional Nightshift map or do you basically have to make it a Nightshift map from the very begining? Here's some very early WIP screenshots: w40kme2006080407314493xg6.jpg w40kme2006080407334042pz1.jpg

pretty nice its a new idea for city maps. i dont think you can save it as a nightshift map now but i think there is a way around it. ok 1st you aill need to open the map and export all the files to a folder then make a new map in nightshift and import the files it should work but i havnt ever tryed it

ps how did you get that sky it looks cool?

Just one of the default skies. I actually have a bunch of jpegs I'd like to convert into custom skyboxes, but alass I have no 3DsMax :( Actually, that brings to mind another question. If you make a custom skybox for a map, does the person playing the map have to have the skybox installed or can they just d/l the map and play?

I think it would be kind to include the skybox with the map. The file can't be THAT big. Just put wherever it needs to go into the readme

yes it will not show up unless you put the file in with the map and the person will have to put the sky into the right location for it to work. i presume because that happens with decals

What exactly is that location btw? I've tried to hunt it down and only found mod sub folders.

Im not sure about custom sky boxex, and where they go, but i can answer the NightShift part. Put simply, no. You do not have to remake the map from scratch. Take your map from the "WA" directory, and put it in the same directory under the "NightShift" folder. Open the "NightShift" version of the map, and add the dummies (read through the documentation that comes with the mod. Explains everything). Then save the map, and play it in NightShift Mod. Full race should be available, as long as you do everything right :)

Aright aright aright. Firsto ff, I'm drunk. Val-Dieu is the best trappist ale EVER! And me being drunk has NOTHING to do with me not figguring this out. So. Donkey, I copied all th e files to the Nightshift folder (did you know there's a Trappist, Kentucky? Vow of silence mother'F'er! my gf looked up trapiist, I mean "trappist" on dictionary.com)... anyway, I moved all the files and even added the 'night_' extension, but I don't know where the map addition tutorial is. All I have is the .exe launch which just takes you immediately to the mod. And when I load the mod, the map I tried shows up0, but it plays in daylight, not night... shift.
