for all of thoose who cant seem to know how to get the texture_shred files that they need. for example 3ds max needs them for the model you import so here is a small tutorial on how to get theese files since there is none:mad: Here goese: Right you WILL need corsix's sga reader Corsix's DoW SGA Reader, Dawn of War Downloads, Dawn of War Utilities And ibboard's texture tool Skins@HWT » Downloads » Download Details » Dawn of War Texture Tool v1.8.1 (Powered by Grots) (they should work if not look for them yourselves or ask me to send it to you or attacht it to post) and either gimp or photoshop. Tis will be a long tutorial but it is very fast to do if you remember how to;) right open up corsix's sga reader and put the 2 bat files into the dxp2 folder of your dark crusade folder (were ever you installed it to). then run the .bat. after that it should install into that folder. fire up the sga reader and click file then open a new box will appear click on the little drop down menu beside the look in. DO NOT BE FOOLED it may go to the w40k folder in your dawn of war folder not your dark crusade folder (if you dont have the orignal dawn of war installed then your fine) navigate the look in drop down menu to thq then dawn of war dark crusade then to dxp2 and double click on dxp2data-sharedtexturesfull.sga. it should all load up into the sga reader window WITHOUT minimisng it! right click on artthen click extract it will bring up a new box and click ok dont worry about were it goese to. with me so far, have i lost you? ok onto the ibboards texture tool(HARAY) open it up and click on edit then click advancedmode. double click on texturetool.exe. Right click on extract rsh and navigate to what ever units skin is so go into races then to whatever race's skin you want to modify then texture_share then double click on whatever unitsskin you want (NOTE VEhicals will have multiple skins bacuase of either treads or visable me/wemon/alin inside them etc.in the dialog box it will come up with you units name and saying complete. then click on dds -> tga it will then bring up the same window and it should have you chosen skins name and .dds at the end if it has not go back and reapeat extracting your choosen units name. it will say converting you choosen units name to tga file... converted. click on tga ->dds and RIGHT clickon your file in the window and open it with either gimp or photoshop or a program that you can open and modify tga. files. thats about all you need to know to be honest. oh Another short short tuorial here. if you want to import a model into 3ds max before you do do the tutorial above and put your choosen units skin/skins (depends wether its a vehical or troop) into a folder direcory like this: c:/program files/THQ/dawn of war - dark crusade/modtools/datasrc/data/art/ebps/races/'the race you choosen unit is in'/texture_share/'your units skin.tga' for vehicals youll have to convert all of the skin parts for it.

it would be a brilliant idea, I've just witten one for modelling start to finish especially pertaining to DOW. It is long and very picture heavy, however there is quite a bit of info on there that I wish people would have told me when I started. Great tutorial by the way, mate
