Hello, eveyone. Many days ago I was a modder of Generals, but the engine is now tottaly out of date and Warhammer is tottally perfect for making a Stracraft total conversion on the base of it (I mean the graphic n' the coding abilities:nodding: ). I thought of making a some kind of Project Revolution's competitor just yesterday and I would need help of all local modding guys that would like to support with this work. So, what are the plans?:deal: Fist of all, I plan making at LEAST 5 races instead of 3 original. The extra ones will be the - Protozerg (Artificially genomed race by Duran) - The Onati (Race of Cyborgs, far long time ago designed by the authors of the Protoss) And also the Terran will be divided into 3 subfactions: - The Dominion (specialized in Nukes, Chemicals and Battlecruisers) - The Confederacy (Specialized in well trained Marines, Ghosts and have a larger amount of vehicles and technology) - Rebels (specialized... in sneacky tactics, traps and new snipers). I'm still a quite unexperienced modeller, so I would need somebody who could help with new units. Awaiting your comments, propositions, flames and help proposals:cya:

:dropsjaw:Do you know how difficult it is to add one race, let alone 5!!! It would require a huge amount of modelling and coding and a completley, utterley dedicated (or insane) Mod Team to do it. Plus you havent posted any ideas for units. Try something smaller. :n0e:

Yep, I do...A company of 2-3 experienced boys could handle with this for about a year, believe I'm a former Generals' modder. This idead isn't something unbealibaly fantastic - for example Silen (the most famous Russian modder and maybe, the most famous Generals' modder at all), during the SCXV modding planned to make 6 factions almost alone (!!!). And 5 races, maybe, will be in the expansion. For now we must make done at least 3 for the original mod. So we need at least 3 mature modellers to get on with this completelly till 9'th of May. And... what about ideas? Of course I have them, just I thought that's to early to talk about that, but think about this:

Zerg

- Zerg Squiggle - a huge flyinh squid with slow, but heavy meelee attacks, ideal vs. Battlecruisers and Carriers. - Zerg Lucent - slow-moving meelee three-leeged creature, were good camouflaging (that means it's allways invisible;) ). But also has quite little HP. Mutates from Hydralisk - Plague-Breather - long dragon-like land unit with mass ranged toxic attack. Mutates from defiler. - Infested Battlecruiser - fires with long-ranged acid. Can only be got by infesting a damaged battlecruiser. - Infested Carrier - the same way to get it, but generates Scourges automatically.

Terran
- Missile Tank - a special modification of the siege tank given only the the rebels. Much faster, cheaper, less armoured and in siege mode has missiles instead of siege gun, which fires better on infantry and flyers. - Colonial Sniper - unique infantry of the Rebels. Can be camoflaged. Excellent vs. other infantry and after uprage - vs. light vehicles/ - Terran Zeus - infantryman carrying a long-barreled siege gun, swaps vehicles as balloons. - Nuclear Battlecruise - unique modification of cruiser, available only the dominiom. Also the dominion has the nuclear tank. - Chemcorps soldiers - replacese the firebat for the Dominion. - Armageddon class Battleship - the new, even more huge ship, available only to the confederacy. Can transport 4 infantry and beat up 3 battlecruiser. Includes 2 built-in Yamato guns. But cost 5(!) cruisers. - Nuclear crawler - mobile nuclear launcher, available only to the Dominion. - BTR - middle-armoured, middle-armed Confederacy tank, can carry 4 troops and has a stealth-generator. The ideas for the protoss I promise to public a moment later...

Protoss - Praetorian - meelee combat soldier, with psi-attack (doesn't damages robots) - Lasher - can be buil in the carrier insted of Interceptor, has much more powerful and ranged attack, but recharges 10 secs. Such a kamikaze ;) - Great Executor class ship - the flagship of the Protoss: has built in Psi-Storm generator and double-photon cannos. - Warp-fighter - the personal upgrade of the Scout. Places photon weaponry and self teleporter

No i doubt you could do 5 races in 3. If you want a good mod

As I said earlier... 5 races will be for the expansion, first we must solve the basic 3 races. Sorry for such low activity - my connection lags:( . And what can you say abou Starcraft Xel'Naga Veangance mod (CnC Generals' engine) - there is planning to make 4 races and the mod is still alive and in progress. Why we can't do the same? I'm finishing my work on the Siege Tank, COMING SOON! So, also can\wants help me with ideas\modelling\codding?

Nah it would take waaaaaay more than a year to make 3 races. just look at some of the other mods, Tau, Tyranids, Dark Eldar. They been goin bout a year and they havent even completed yet. and you want to do 3!:eek: Besides, i think someone else is already making a Starcraft mod. http://www.starforge2004.de/

Starforge is almost closed, because the mod leader - Spoo, has returned back to developing the SCXV mod together with Silen. Yes I know, about Tau\Tyranid\Necron mods, but they are developing slowly because of lack of moddellers (1 or 2 per mod). And I offer to found right here right now a modding team, or just a team of SC fans who can & want to learn to make mods. I've also started today to seek parallely other volunteers on Russian and German sites, and when I'll recruite at least 4-5 guys, I can bet I'll make this jod done with a half-year. AND, I'm not failing doing this job - I attracted already 2 men to help me with modelling and texturing and I've also almost finished researching the WH40K engine. And even... if it would take really take a year to do it, this year would be surely worth it:beer:
