Open the map in the mission editor, right. Then you know that second window--the white one with all the text? make a screanshot of it and send it to me. On a side note, have you got DC?

Right, Kalamor & Wraithcat, listen up. To be perfectly honest with the two of you, this thread is an utter joke. The posts you make aren't very well put together, nor detailed, and the amount of spamming the two of you have done is seriously trying my Patience. Between the two of you (and with the spamming) you managed to get this thread to a close four pages. now that I've merged all your comments that were in after each other, the thread has been reduced to little over a single page. Either clean up your act, or don't post. Consider this an Official Warning. I don't want to catch either of you spamming like this again, if you do, don't come crying to me when your banned. It also wouldn't hurt to make your posts stand out a little and to actually make them readable, and valid. If you want to go and Spam Around, use the Spam Forum, not the DoWForum. Understood? Good!

well....im useless outside of city maps. and even those are only fair. so...what little i can contribute can be directed toward the city maps. ive been thinking that perhaps it would be interesting to create a series of maps in a campaign style, with the finale centering around a capitol city, or massive landscaped trenchworks with small villages and rivers to capture (1024x1024, of course), anyway, yeah. lemme know what you think of that idea guys. like i said though...kugelstadt industrial sector was only my second map, so i dont consider it yet a triumph, yet my value as an editor, i feel, should be directed toward city maps. (KIS was terribly organized, as some of you may have noticed). anyway, yeah. hit me back. i agree though that the maps ought to be interconnected, for sure. what would be very cool, is if for each map in the series (say, for example we have 5 maps) if one side of the map (say, the far end on the opposite side of the player) was the same as the closer end for the next map, so that it gave the feel that each map was just a continuation of the last. again to explain, if the map is 1v1, then player one would start where player two started on the next map, but would continue to fight in the same direction, so that the effect of large scale movement over massive distances could be achieved. granted, it would be difficult to coordinate each map, as well as work on the simulataneously, but if each of us were to create and then taker pictures of each side of the map, then it would give our fellowmappers a reference for how to begin the starting area scenery for their map. just an idea. tell me what you think though. I tried to accomplish this is kugelstadt with the various cathedrals, but ended up getting derailed, because i couldnt remember exactly how i had placed the buildings in the previous map (Kugelstadt City Fight). There are defiently parts where the likeness between the two is evident however. Edit: um...i think we should really try top avoid the "yin-yang" style of mapping where everything is symetrical. i not only find that to be boring, but also uncreative and unrealistic. how many cities do you know that are layed out in perfect symmetry, or how many parklands that are mirrored. none, i should say. therefore, i think what we ought to do is this: 1.open a photobucket account 2. create a folder where we keep concept sketches and comment on them 3. keep another folder where we place the finalized ideas for maps we are for sure going to produce 4. within that folder, keep seperate files for each developer to keep screens which show his progress on the map this will not only help us visually coordinate, but if we decide to go for the large, flowing map, as i posted above, then it will also help us keep tabs on the others' maps and therefore will help us to achieve the desired effect. not only that, but it will serve as a place to post ideas coherently (just scan in your handdrawn sketches/concetps, even it is for something like the terrain surrounding a ruined building, the inspiration could lead to something else. if you want, i can set up the account, because, quite frankly, i go through great efforts to organize the folders onto my comp and am quite good at it, so i could easily set up the directory files. tell em what you think. before we can start working, we need to be organized, or else its just a bunch of random maps coming together without unity. -lacrossefrwd7
