I'm making a game using Blender and since I will be using the Kasrkins as the main characters I wanted to look at the animations made for DoW to get an idea how I should make mine. I followed everything Mudflaps said to get a file ready to open a model in the OE, but all it shows is the annoying pink box with an error message on it: 'An .EBP file was missing an .SGM file. Check the log. I think I have everything in the propor place, but if anyone more familliar with the OE can check they would probably find something I missed. Here's what I have in C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\ModTools\DataGeneric\My_Mod\Art\EBPs\races\imperial_guard\troops: kasrkin_whe_burn.txt kasrkin.ebp kasrkin.sgm kasrkin.whe _default.burn I think that's everything, but again, I'm new to the OE.
_default.burn goes in the C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\ModTools\DataGeneric\My_Mod\ folder not as you have it above. It should be C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\ModTools\DataGeneric\My_Mod\\EBPs\races \imperial_guard\troops: not C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\ModTools\DataGeneric\My_Mod\Art\EBPs\races \imperial_guard\troops: Plus the whe shouldn't be in there in the ModTools foder. That should be in your Mod folder, i.e. C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\My_Mod\data\art\ebps\races\imperial_guard\troops
Hope this helps
Thanks for the help, I got it to load now, but I'm unable to view the animations. I can see the model before I click on one of the animations, but when I do click on one the model dissapears. If I click on anything other than an animation, like the animation folder, the model reapears. I know the animations are there because if I click on 'Bones' in the info tab it will display the names of the bones and they will move with the animation.
Look in the bottom right corner of the OE and you will see Overide Visibilty and all the meshes listed. Toggle the meshes you want to see (i.e. don't turn on flags and banners etc). It doesn't do anything permanent as in it doesn't get saved so have a play with those and then play the animations. Better yet play the actions as combinations of animations will play.
I don't see Overide Visibility. For some reason the the whole bottom part is cut off at the right starting at roughly the middle of the stop button.
Your screen resolution is too low then. When the Relice dev's made DoW they were using top end pc's and monitors so the Mod tools were made with those in mind. I had the same problem way back but changing the screen resolution sorted it.
Cool, thanks, this helps alot.
