How would i go about making a whip for the bloodthirster? would it consist of many bones or would that a be a big pain in the bs to animate? or should i put just a few bones in places where it would be moved. i am going to hope fully release it on public with a few other things. ill need a few oppinions. should it be dragging behind the bloodthirster as it moves ? or would ppl like it coiled it its hands? :deal: im quite new to this but should be much of a problem to do other ideas and tips on how to go about it welcome:cool:

you should have him dragging it behind him, with the occasional whip animation for looks, that would be cool.
no it would be cooler if it was coiled then he could whip it out nd in again like spider man yeah!
The Bloodthirster is a warrior, and a warrior who is skilled in the use of a whip would hold it coiled in their hand. Having a whip-warrior drag their weapon is like having a swordsman who runs down railings banging his sword against them like a kid - it wouldn't do his weapon much good and so he wouldn't really do it.
dragging cos otherwise you would have to animate it being recoiled after every use, the bloodthirster is not simply a wariior he is an image of the very things that humans fear the most , blind hate and rage. he should use it a lot though so he looks truly barbaric on the assault whipping with the whip and slashing with the axe one after the other until the enemy is dead. coooooool
Coiled would look better, for the reasons IBBoard pointed out, but you would have to animate it to both uncoil and recoil, which would take longer. Its certainley not impossible though.
well now that i know how to attach the bones it should be alot easier the poll is only there for a week so that will decide on what it will do, i could try to make it do both but no garauntees:uhm:
