Right I have just got a load of cool badges and banners from Hanger 8 and I went to extract them to /THQ/Dawnofwar/badges 0r Banners, and when i went to go play with them on army painter they were no there!!!! Now I'am sure im putting them in the right place aren't I ?! Thanks in Advance!:bows: Guess what I have a other problem aswell now:rolleyes: I have just started a map on map editor and i thought I better save it, because I re-installed DOW and WA yesterday my scenario and mp files were not there. So i created them and went to save my map. But after i saved it, it said : " The selected file is outside of all known scenario folders. The mission editor can only write to files that are under the root folder. Root: C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War\ File: C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War\Wxp\Data\Scenario\mp\Defence of Tellerun City.sgb" Any help will be very nice :D
1) That problem happens to me with some badges. I have no idea why, some work and some don't. 2) Just create those folders. In the Data folder, click create new folder and name it Scenario. Inside that folder create one called mp. Then save your maps in there. Simple.
Hangar-8's badges and banners shouldn't have a problem. Make sure they're not in a sub-folder (e.g. badges/badges) because that's the most common problem I've seen. If that isn't it, it can be that you've got another badge/banner of the same name. Again, shouldn't be a Hangar-8 problem, since he's one of the most experienced people at it, but it could be. 'same name' applies across both folders, so badge/something.tga and banner/something.tga could cause a conflict that'd stop one or the other from showing.
As for 2), what Splurge said.
ye I did what splurge said to create the folders, But when i went to save again (in WXP/Data/scenarios/mp) and it still said there not under the root folder. For the banner and badges problem I heard once that you can stick them somewhere else and it still works, i just carn't remember where it was now because it was a long time ago. (It had something/something/art).
Badges go in the badges folder, banners in the banners folder, nothing else I'm afraid. When you save the maps, make sure you include the full directory (C:Program files etc)
Not entirely true, you can stick them under w40k\data\art\badges or \banners and it'll work, but that might only work for DoW games, not WA/Mods, I'm not sure :)
