My quest for Final Liberation on Windows XP has ended... For all of those interested (I really may be the only one) copy and paste this: [Options] MusicVol=100 FX_Volume=127 MV_Volume=127 UseGrid=0 DoVideo=0 WatchAI=1 AutoSave=1 Into WordPad, Save it as a text-document(MS-DOS format), and just put it into the Final Liberation folder on your drive. You will have to set the configuration to run the game in Win95' compatibility and you will have to turn off all themes, 256 colors, etc. You won't be able to watch the videos (those are what makes it unable to run on XP I guess--Go figure) but you will be able to play the campaign and the custom battles. The graphics are just as crappy as they ever were...but it is still a fun game. On a sad note, it looks like it would be harder than hell to get Chaos Gate to work on XP...I found a few sites that said they had done it...but no one who actually said how...I think some people just like to talk. Thanks to all of those who helped me with this problem originally.
What is final liberation?
isnt it another warhammer 40k game that came out b4 DOW
i guess final liberation is the first game made about w40k universe (maybe at the same time with space hulk). it was realesed before Chaos Gate. it's a turn by turn strategic game, based on the tabletop game : "Epic Space Marine".
Well thanks for explaining that.
Yeah, it was a great game: except it would crash about turn 2 on custom battles in windows 98.... D'oh!
