The best settings would be high. Theres some way to get higher resolution then that but i cannot remember currently.

make a parameter in your desktop shortcut as -forcehighpoly (if on a mod make it before the -modname%% parameter). also if it is for WA u'll have to remake the shortcut as the installed shortcut is parameter locked (for me anyway)

If your graphics are sub-standard it's because the Graphics Config thinks your machine can't handle higher graphics. Any lag in online games is almost certainly because of someone who has their settings up too high for their machine.

As for the shoulder pads being fuzzy, that's not forcehighpoly, that's the "fullres_teamcolor = 1" line in the INI file. Putting that line in manually is the second worst way to lag your machine, if it can't handle it. The worst is to put everything on high, including shadows (high shadows is especially bad for some reason, but generally only with high everything else)

So, make the change if you want, but beware of lagging a machine that can't take it, and prepare to lag-out of a game or get kicked if your computer is only a little over the base-line specs.

local.ini - but just to reitterate: Adding fullres_teamcolor to your INI file is one of the most likely ways to lag your machine and any games you are in. Lagging is most often the gamers settings, not the internet connection.
