I didn't make it!
Firstly, I have used the word 'HUD' to describe the toolbar, menu bar, minimap etc when playing DOW: Dark Crusade because I didn't know whether they were the correct names. So correct me if I'm wrong.
More to the point is there a console command to hide this 'HUD' for taking screenshots, because I have to minimize the bar at the bottom, but when I take the screenshot the 'game paused', the minimap and much of the 'HUD' still appears and can get in the way of the shot.
Thanks, Grand Master Orion
Well there's an easier way instead of doin what ur doing anyhow be sure 2 read a lot of writing. Ok now here's what u do -Open up a new notepad -Now copy this code and paste into the notepad _________________________________________________________________ screenmode = 0 function toggle_screenmode() if screenmode == 0 then taskbar_hide() message_hide() screenmode = 1 else taskbar_show() message_show() screenmode = 0 end end bind("shift+tab", "toggle_screenmode()") Now save as autoexec -Now your going to have to save it as a lua as so; autoexec.lua If your having trouble changing into a lua, there's an easier way firstly go to your control panel, go into folder options, now select the "view" tab now uncheck the box which has, "Hid extensions for known file types". Now you can rename autoexec into an "autoexec.lua" then when you're playing the game simply press, "shift=tab" to remove the hud. Hope that helps.
:cough: -dev mode :cough:
Or you can just press, Prt Scr and then go into paint pres ctrl v or paste and crop the part you want...
but removing the hood makes your battles look more cinimatic
Danimator :cough: -dev mode :cough:
Using this autoexec.lua function to remove the HUD doesn't require putting the game in dev mode.
