I recently purchsed SS and could nto play it, after roughly twenty attempts I checked the redme and it stated that it does not work on Vista, only on XP and 2000, this is beyond unbfair as I don't want Vista, but my laptop came with it so I've tolerated it all this time, but now I can't play this freaking game because Bill Gates decided to create Vista, which is worse then XP, so fuck Bill Gates, I want to kill that Son of a bitch!!!

ok i have soulstorm, and i have vista so it does work. Then again i have a custom graphics card worth about £78 and a really powerfull pc but the funny thing is i cant remember how powerfull lmao!
I've a laptop that runs Vista Home Ultimate and I haven't had a single problem with SS. Update your drivers, make sure you've no conflicting software. It would be ridiculous for SS not to work on Vista for a multitude of reasons, but here's the kicker - Its every single DOW with window dressing. Its the same bloody game. Cool your shit. Your problem with SS is related to your computer, not Bill Gates.
all of the previous ones work, I guess I may have gotten a defective copy or something, but it really doesn't make sense because it says in the games readme that it is incompatible with windows Vista, man I so confused:confused::uhm::Puzzled::(
Are you sure it says incompatible? Dawn of War was optimized for both XP and 2k, however they still both run on Vista. Hell, I was able to run Nox - a game made in the 90's - on Vista just fine. Have you tried reading through the troubleshooting? Do you have a particular error, or does it just not start? Have you tried uninstalling and removing all DoW files, then reinstalling SS by itself? There's an error somewhere, its all a matter of finding it.
