Somehow 3 days ago i started to randomly acquire textural errors, some units would appear as pure black units, or not even appear at all and just have little black/ or transparent squares underneath were the should be along with the animations for muzzle flash being outlined in vaguely visible colors ranging from dark purple to black. The ground textures also seem to change at random (i'll try and get some screen shots as soon as possible to help you all understand the problem a bit better), then sometimes different elements of my screen will simply disappear, things such as icons, tool tips and even the menu bars along with the whole HUD unit. Also my cursors graphical image will randomly freeze in place and not follow my actual mouse making it impossible to tell were it is. Then usually after a short period of these other errors the screen fragments into a jumble of horizontal lines of varying color and texture then the game abruptly freezes and crashes.

I am not running any mods, i have not modified my computer in any real way in the past 3 days, so i cannot figure out the problem. Ive been using the exact same setting i have used without incident for the past couple of years. Ive re-installed all 3 dow games, 3 times each so far but still the same problems occur.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance :bows:

Are you experiencing any problems in any other games you have? (it could be a hradware failure)

If you say you reinstalled it, then I don't know what else could be causing this. Except maybe - did you try reinstalling your video drivers and dx9?

I tried the DX9, but not the video driver. Im not a very technically adept person and messing with video drivers is beyond my abilities. But if you know of any easy way to re-install them then i would greatly appreciate the advice.

No problem :) Always keep in mind The terror of malfunction aside the the godly format keeps at side

So if there's some problem that doesn't seem to be solved whatever you do, a pc format generally solves it.
