First off, forgive the persistant use of the word bloody, but i am very pissed off right now. I can't even get onto a bloody online game because i keep getting this stupid bloody error message every bloody time i go into the lobbies, and when i'm in matchmaking. Yesterday i managed to play 2 25 minute games in 1.5 hours. The rest of the time was trying to join a bloody game. Today i tried for half an hour to play a game but i kept getting this stupid bloody message so i've just given up Does ANYONE have ANY idea how to stop this stupid thing from happening?

yeah it does that to me sometimes. It only does it sometimes, but I know of nothing that can make it work.I always just exited the game and then restarted.

Sounds to me like it's a general network issue. You can take a look at some of my recommended network settings for ALL games here: LAN Party Guide

I used to have an issue very similar to this with Battlefield 2142. After constant pestering to my ISP (about 3 weeks worth) they finally admitted there was a problem with my node, and went out and fixed it. Prior to this, they refused to believe it could be their fault. (thanks comcast) After they fixed whatever they fixed, everything worked fine again.

Obviously, also do the standard driver updates for everything, reboot your modem & router, bla bla bla.

Also, if this game uses punkbuster (again, I dont own it so i dont know), i have some recommendations here: LAN Party Guide

Sending udp packet from 6112 to 6112 Received from /66.134.89.225:6112 to 6112 "udp pass" udp port 6500 Peek timed out udp port 27900 Peek timed out udp port 27901 Peek timed out udp port 29910 Peek timed out

that's what the net test came up with...
