I've been noticing lately that whenever I try to download a new map or mod that it saves as an X6 file. I can't open X6 files. Is this just me or does anyone else out there feel my pain as well? This has been occuring on every Filefront site I go to. Can anyone explain what is going on or am I just being stupid?

Hmmn that's strange since I can download files fine(just finished downloading a map) maybe you should take it up with dowfiles staff. or try and PM Ruley on this problem. he's the new fileposter at dowfiles. try switching to winzip as well

I don't think it's a problem with what I'm using, the files are being downloaded as a X6 file. The downloads are being prossesed through internet explorer instead of filefront. I have the new version of internet explorer, 7 I think it is, and I've had nothing but problems with it.

In retrospect, I think I should give an example of what I'm talking about. Example, I went to download the map Rat Hole, which is a .zip file labed 'rat_hole_buy_fruitman.zip'. I clicked the link to download and it sent me to the windows "install provider" which gives me the url of 'X6 from 38.118.213.164'

Then it seems to be an explorer problem you got or maybe it's your local provider. You better check on it.. Oon a side note do all your downloads have this sort of problem regadless of the site you're downloading from??
