2 people at a gladiator server (forgot which 1) had 0 ping! But they wouldnt tell me how to do it. They said it was a secret. So i asked some people at Crash's SFFA server, and they said u have to be directly on the server or something. So how do u do that, or is it possible?
btw, this is ef1.

0 ping means either bots or the server admin. If they answered you, then they are obviously not likely to be bots, so most probably it was the server host (who likely has a LAN or some other network setup at his place for someone else to connect to EF with).
The closer you are to the server, the lower your ping will be. You cannot force it to go lower without physically moving closer to the server, or getting a better internet connection.

Directly on the server means just that, directly ON the server :p sometimes other computers on the lan, depending on the lan of course, can get about 8 ping so most likely the game was being played by them on the server itself if you saw 0 ping.

Heh, I remember in the old days of Q3 I accidentally found this weird way to get the ping to read as 0 and stay there for the duration of the match, no matter what your actual ping is. It was pretty useless though, and somehow they fixed it in a patch or something IIRC.
Anyway, yeah. You would have to physically bring your computer near the server and connect your computer to the server through a LAN to get an actual ping of 0 like that.
Sounds like time nudge...you can do that in EF too I believe. Knock your ping way, way down...not exactly sure how it helps however...and going that lower messes with things.
