Ich spiele im Moment mal wieder EF 2, aber mir ist aufgefallen wie mies die deutschen Stimmen sind. Gibt es denn eine Möglichkeit auf die englische Sprache zu wechseln?

It is possible if you have somone with the english version, then you can use his loc files instead of yours, and set your language in your config to "eng", then you have a english version.

But you can not just switch the language as it was possible in ef1.

No you couldn't, as that would breach the game's EULA.

@OP: Not all of us speak German. Please, consider at least making an effort at providing a translation for non-native speakers - by doing so you are more likely to get a response. :) After all, these are primarily English-speaking fora.

I'm sure its not the same EULA in germany as in the UK, so i don't be sure about this part since the law has changed again. BUT since this is not a german forum on a german webserver within german law it's not smart to talk about such stuff here, if i got you right Roockie_42?

@utopio Maybe you can buy a cheap english EF2 version on ebay. Btw it is possible to mix the languages, so you still have german subtitles...

A EULA is not law, it is merely the licensing agreement that you must agree to if you wish to play the game. Furthermore EULAs are not synonymous with a particular country's law, it's an independant agreement. ;)

The German (or any other) legal system has nothing to do with it, save the exact details for handling any copyright violation - obviously this differs from country to country.

Well, I have to admit i don't know this, how exactly it is over here. But I'll sure find some time to figure this out. But if you go strictly with the EULA then you woud not be allowed the most old games, and each modding website wich provides such matrials woud be illegal ?

Provisions for modding are usually made within the EULA - use of "New Game Materials", etc. If you think about it, if modding violates EULAs then half the FF Network sites wouldn't exist. ;)

And I think you'll find all EULAs for a single game are pretty much identical in content no matter what country your game was released in (unless perhaps the version for that particular country had features added or removed for whatever reason), the only difference is in the translation AFAIK.
