Naruto Uzumaki.;5602581...got to the Enterprise Hull Mission, i left the game unpatched and have no problems going down this time whatsoever...
Strange. I patched the game and had no problems of any kind so far. And I'm almost at the end of the game.
Naruto Uzumaki.;5602581Although i did run into a minor bug on USS Dallas...
Just one? Weird. I ran into a bunch of them. And they all tried to kill me. =p
Naruto Uzumaki.;5602581I also think its sweet how they give you the I-Mod for each mission for hacking into Jurots locker. Havent found a use for it yet, its rate of fire is too slow for the damage it does but still pretty sweet.
Eh? Jurot's locker? :lookaround: I-Mod? :lookaround: *checks walkthrough*
Spoiler: Show

8. You can also use your tricorder to access your locker, though you can't use anything inside. Admiral Kimbrell and Deamon Deathstone email that as you go along the lockers you will notice Jurot's locker with an I-Mod (Infinity Modulator) in it. You can use your tricorder to crack the code to open the locker, or find the code from the Datapad in the office behind Chell. You can add the I-Mod to your inventory of weapons and then throughout the game you will always have the it available.

Whaaaaaat? I was in that office behind Chell and I missed that datapad?!!! :banghead: Serves me right for not reading the walkthrough from the start. =p I started using the walkthrough after reaching the Dallas mission to help me find those golden starships. But, as you said, not much of a loss. It's a crappy weapon anyway. It's supposed to be an upgraded version of the original I-Mod from the first game, but it feels more like they downgraded it to me. :clueless: Still, if I ever decide to play the game again, I'll make sure to get it. I'll never use it, but I'll have it. =p

On a related note, I don't like the Borg either. Drones look like they came out of a comic book or a cartoon and the voice of the Collective sounds weird. The Borg from the first game were much better.
And about most of the Actors not being in the game. Game Dialogue confirms that EF2 is set after Nemesis, which means there shouldn't be any Riker, Data, Beverley or Troi.

Okay, Riker became a Captain and took command of the USS Titan. Deanna went with him, Data died, Beverly moved to a position at Starfleet Medical, but what about Geordi? Why isn't he in the game? As far as I know, he didn't leave Enterprise after Nemesis. According to Memory Alpha, Reginald Barclay serves as a temporary Chief Engineer aboard the Enterprise in this game, which suggests Geordi will (or at least should) return at some point, but there is no explanation for his absence.
I like how Martha Hackett and Gowrons Actor making an appearance.

Yes, Martha Hackett voices Dr. Stevenson, but the other actor you're referring to is J.G. Hertzler. He played Martok, not Gowron. Jeffrey Combs voices Commander Suldok.

Hmm i didnt know about the datapad, I just put in random numbers because it locks you out if you get 1 wrong. And Gowrons actor who is Robert O'Reilly voices Krindo in Elite Force 2, i didnt notice it at first until he said a line VERY similar to a line he said in a DS9 epissode.

And the USS Dallas bug is just a lighting glitch so only a minor and i still cant fix the stupid console commands.

Naruto Uzumaki.;5602637Hmm i didnt know about the datapad, I just put in random numbers because it locks you out if you get 1 wrong.
I actually tried to unlock some of the other lockers, but, as you said, every time I entered the wrong number, it kicked me out and I had to start again, but the first (few) number(s) that worked before didn't work again. They seem to change at random each time.

Oh, him. *checks Memory Alpha* Yeah, you're right. Huh. His voice sounds completely different in this game when compared to the show. On the other hand, Jeffrey Combs has a distinctive voice that just can't go unnoticed, regardless of which character he plays. Console commands don't work for you? Which ones? Map loading command should work even without the cheats enabled.

I didnt see any point in opening the other lockers since i didnt see anything that i could take, i do keep checking them though. and about Krindo, when he attacks the enterprise he says something along the lines of "Your ship is crippled, your weapons are non functional" he says it just like Gowron and Gowron says a very similar line in DS9, and about console. a load of commands dont work and i still cant fix this stupid field of view thing, not to mention the field of view defaults when i switch to another weapon. By any chance do you know how to change the 3rd person camera angle/distance?

No, I don't. Sorry. I never had much need for console commands, so I didn't bother to learn them all. Try using cmdlist command to get a list of all available commands, if that helps.

Its not that important anyway. I can probably write some script to change it if i wanted. Now remember i mentioned that guy with the youtube videos? He had almost a million views. Do you think people would appreciate a HD Version of the game on there since i havent seen one yet. What made me want to play it again was that i couldnt find a HD Version.

Hmm... I don't know. You have to take into account that this game is quite old for today's standards. Those million views you mentioned have accumulated with years, as the time passed by. I'm not sure if you could get even half the amount. I mean, HD or no HD; why would anyone watch videos they've seen before, only from a different author? I could be wrong, though. It's a gamble. :uhm:

Heh well it cant hurt. Its still an awesome game. Ive done video projects of much older games that have had 1000s of views. But its something to think about it. Like i mentioned. I screen capture everything i play onto one of my 6 Hard drives so i have most of the content but i do have a lot of projects lined up.

And back on topic, about the enterprise hull problem. It seems its quite common.

Well, common or not, it didn't happen to me. I actually half-expected to run into the same problem when I reached that mission, but it worked flawlessly. Game patched with an official patch, no mods, Windows XP, NVIDIA graphic card. Maybe I was just lucky. :clueless:

[EDIT]I've just finished the game. No problems whatsoever.[/EDIT]

I suppose all problems are solved ? I could make a patch for the game if there are ppl having Iusses.

I've had to fix many scripting issues when getting the Coop Mod to work on Linux and Windows, since the Linux server loadad maps faster and sometimes certain functions in the script where skipped, wich resulted in players getting stuck in the missions.
