Hello,

I am currently in the process of creating a Star Trek story that I would like to be able to animate using Machinima. After trying to attempt to create a story that I can animate myself, I realize that I am unable to do this alone. It would be nice, however I am not that great at scripting, so unfortunately, I am not able to do this alone. My question is this, is there anyone on these forums that would like to be able to be part of a team to create a Star Trek story using the Elite Force game. I am currently working on several stories at the moment. I am uncertain as to if the story will be a continuation in series form about the Hazard Team, or whether to have a Star Trek spoof. If you would like to be able to be a part of this endeavor, it would be greatly appreciated. Who knows maybe the series can be just as popular as Red vs. Blue. LOL

Anyways, if you would like to be involved, let me know, and I will get back to you.

Sorry to revive a rather dead thread, but I was wondering if this is proceeding at all? I don't think I could do anything, but it sounds like an interesting idea (though I don't think anything could be as good as Red vs. Blue :p)

Actually yeah I am still currently working on it. I'm past the pre-production stage, basically getting the story outline and character outline down. I'm in the process of writing a script for the series. I do not have anything tangible up now as far as what the project is going to look like. However, I will have a trailer posted as soon as possible. I'm waiting until I have at least the full season written before I release anything about the series. I may post screenshots and such for the series, but I don't really want to do a whole lot until I finish the script. However, if anyone wants o help they are more than welcome to. What I really need is mappers. I am ok with making maps for Elite Force II, however I am a newbie at creating them. Also, if anyone who has real experience with making maps, please let me know. The good thing is, the maps I need are mainly one room sets. Such as bridges, Crew Quarters, sections of ships. Stuff like that. And they don't have to be detailed as far as consoles working or sound effects or characters just the map. I can add the rest later as I need them. I don't think that will be possible. I can never live up to the standards they have with the series. The two directions they have with their series and my series is really different. So they won't be anything alike. However, I believe that the story will speak for itself. After all Star Trek was always great at Storytelling and that is what I wanted to do. To create a really good series that has great Storytelling, oh and some great cool action sequences too. Have to have that! :D Anyway thats my long rant and rave. Sounds interesting :) Just wondering, will this be taking place on Voyager or Enterprise, or both?

The reason I ask is that I'm working on a Voyager map for an SP mod I'm doing (intending to map most common areas, like the bridge, mess hall, sickbay, engineering, cargo bay, transporter room). Currently I'm still at Alpha version of the Bridge: voywip2.jpg But anyway, if you could use the maps I'll be working on then let me know!

Wow, looks really good for an alpha build. I like it. I could definately use that. As far as whether the series will be on Voyager or Enterprise, it won't be. I wanted to set the Hazard Team on a different ship. However, with the script I am working on it definately calls for an Intrepid Class ship so the Voyager sets would work great. Especially the Transporter Room, Mess Hall, and definately the Bridge. If you are also working on crew quarters that would be the icing on the cake, cuz I could definately use those. Can't wait to see what you have.

Hello all, I know its been a while since I have said anything in regards to this series, however I have an entire season scripted out and I need help with Mapping. I can do it myself, however I finally realize I am no mapper. It just takes too much time to be able create a map that will only be in a scene for 30 seconds and spend a week on it. I am calling out to the EF2 modding community. I desperately need maps for EF2. I know not a lot of people map for EF2 and there isn't as many maps as there is for EF1 however I want to make this series up to date with the current game which is EF2. Here is a list of the maps I would need: 1) Intrepid Class Bridge 2) Intrepid Class Crew Quarters 3) Intrepid Class Transporter Room 4) Starbase Bridge, Transporter Room, Promenade, Crew Quarters, Cargo Bay, Hallways, Borg Assimilated Hallways. 5) Borg Maps with a Throne Room 6) Soverign Class Bridge, Transporter Room, Crew Quarters, Hallways, etc. ***Note about the Starbase. The maps should look more like a Starship style than a normal starbase. Please no Deep Space 9 maps. With these maps, they do not need to be complex with useable control panels or character models. Just the maps. And the rooms don't need to be connected with each other. I just really need the rooms themselves with a working door in an out to a hallway. If that would be possible. wow! very nice, but: -helm control station seems huge!, convert the model or recreate it and make it even better! :p - the doors are too fat too, make them smaller ;)

The size differences (huge helms station and fat doors) may have to do with the fov (I think the fov is set at 110 in that shot). I did intentionally make the doors a little wider than normal because I wanted to leave enough room for if a player and NPC are going for the same door they won't get stuck. It looks 'right' when I see it in-game.. though maybe I should make it smaller. Helms is still being worked on.. but I think I will make it smaller too.

Chris: I'm planning on finishing the Intrepid bridge and corridor sections before 3rd Jan (my last day of winter holidays), so if you do need them when they're done just let me know :)

No problem Exit. I had to postpone the production a little bit due to I a m in the process of moving so my time is limited on my computer. I will be working on the series again as soon as Christmas is over so whatever you have available by all means go right ahead and send it. If you have any more maps that you think will work with the list I made above please let me about that also. Thanks again.
