There was indeed an increase in the quality of the POTD's a while back, however that increase has diminished again and now we are back in the "quantity over quality" era that has existed before the increase, as I have said earlier in the discussion following this POTD, subsequently capped off by a too-tight administrator . . .

I was talking about the Management of the podt, it didn't happen that pods where online for about more than tow days or even a week, which was happening at the past very often.

About the potd contents the administrators can't be blamed!

If you think administrators shall be come arrogant and decide on their own what podt they wana put online or not depending on thair personal mood or relationship to the author I'll totally disagree! :staff:

Perhaps that was a good thing. I rather see one good image for three days then seeing three crappy images over three days.

The way I see it, there's a lot to question about the management if they continuously post crappy POTD's, pictures for even better images were discarted as "not good enough" a few years back . . .

"Crappy" PotDs is a subjective phrase, and the management does not cater only to your sense of style and humor, unfortunately. If you take a moment to sit down and think about that you may find that a bad PotD is not the end of the world.

Which is extremely poor if there are 10+ images in the queue.

You seem to like questioning things on EFFiles a lot, funny thing is - it's always something that you hardly contribute to yourself.

Also consider that each "crappy" image is something that someone has taken the time to upload to keep the queue populated - as Chris stated; last year there were many occasions when the same images was up for days, if not even weeks. Which was because no one bothered to upload anything.

Be thankful to those that are bothering to keep the queue populated rather than slating anything that isn't a beauty shot.

Inyri Forge;4179603"Crappy" PotDs is a subjective phrase, and the management does not cater only to your sense of style and humor, unfortunately.
My sense of style and humor are irrelevant and besides, I am not the only one who finds them "crappy". To quote your former collegue Scooter in the POTD url I gave earlier:

Lately, the vast majority of the screenshots seem to be either from RPG-X2 or that EF2 co-op scripting mod thing. I feel that both are getting a little tiring, but that's to say that we should stop having any of them. We need to get some other screenshots in between to spread them out. We need to get people submitting screenshots of work-in-progress maps again. ... Dig through the PotD archives from a few years ago and get some inspiration

I call them crappy, Scooter calls it tiring. Basicly we say the same, we only use different words . . .

Inyri Forge;4179603If you take a moment to sit down and think about that you may find that a bad PotD is not the end of the world.
It may not be the end of the world, but it could lead to the end of EFfiles.com or the POTD section of it. If all we see are more of the same (RPG) images, then tell me if anyone would want to submit something different, non-RPG image if those images aren't posted as POTD ??

AdmiralHocking;4179807Which is extremely poor if there are 10+ images in the queue.

As I said before, that there are 10+ images in queue DOES NOT mean that all 10+ images need to be posted whetter or not in that order . . .
You seem to like questioning things on EFFiles a lot, funny thing is - it's always something that you hardly contribute to yourself.

Didn't know it was mandatory to submit regular content if you want to voice some critisism here . . .
Also consider that each "crappy" image is something that someone has taken the time to upload to keep the queue populated - as Chris stated; last year there were many occasions when the same images was up for days, if not even weeks. Which was because no one bothered to upload anything.

Tell me, what do you like on yesterday's POTD ?? Perhaps it was time to close that feature rather then keeping it effortless open just for the sake of having a POTD . . .

A bit lame, don't you think ?? You don't like where its headed and subsequently you want it locked. That you have a different opinion does not mean that it must surpass everyone elses . . .

Apprentice, this Thread was not started to give anyone the opportunity to start complaining, flaming or even insult some one. It was started to send just one Message which I'll now make clearly visible to you Thank you effiles.com admins for taking care of the PotD rotation. It haven't been like this in the past, so I hope you keep it that way. If you want to talk about your isue please create a own topic but stop making mine going the wong way, please !
