hey, im not sure how active this site is anymore but here goes.........im still currently playing the original star trek shooter.... i recently bought a 2nd computer and since then i have not been able to create a server and have others connect to me, is there a way to sort this out? thx.

hi, i've the same psob! lan server isn't a prob - works fine :-) but haw do i create a working internet-server?? thx

hm, whatever i do, i can not find the server on the internet - it's always hosted as a local server .

Perhaps your firewall is blocking it? Make sure it reports the heartbeats correctly. Make sure your router, if you have one, allows the traffic.

Perhaps listing more details would give us a better understanding as to why it is not working.

What about connecting to your server using your IP address? '/connect

If that does not work I will write you a little server configuration file.

I'm using a Zyxel Prestige 660 HW router, via Zyxel I found out, that I have to deactivate the DHCP and have to assign the internal IP-Adresses manually. Well, after doing that it still doesn't work :-( I asked also for help from Zyxel, because I think the problem lies within my router-configuration....

Of course I tried out to find my server by tiping in my IP-Adress, but it was found only with the internal IP's.... unfortunately not with the assigned WAN-IP.

whixh ports are necessary to be opened for running a server? is it only 27960?
