Was browsing a game retailer website the other day, and found Elite Force for around £20. Was wondering whether it is still a popular game, and whether there is any real benefit of getting it. Obviously the game has been out for a while, and isn't the newest, but I've been lead to believe enough people still play it. Just wondering whether it is worth the money really. Is there still enough going for it to be worth the cost and time? Going from the Forums, they're ain't much happening at the moment it doesn't seem.
I assume you're talking about Elite Force 1. Game itself is worth getting in my opinion, especially for it's singleplayer. I never played it online, but from I know, servers are pretty much empty (if you don't count bots, ofcourse) these days. Still, it's a very good game and is definitely worth having it in your collection. If you have any further questions about the game, please ask.
£20 seems a bit steep for such an old game, but because of all the mods and stuff people have made for it, it its 100% worth getting. Try and find the expansion pack for it too if you can, although you can download the needed stuff in a patch.
Indeed I command you to get it Ash! :D
I recently got the game myself about a week ago, and I like it. Good storyline, plenty of action. If you can, get the expansion pack for it too. The Virtual Voyager tour is fun. I'm just waiting for the Captain Proton mission pack mod to be finished.

You assume incorrectly. I am on about Elite Force 2.

Hmm thats a mixed bag, its worth checking out and probably is a good game if you haven't played EF1 beforehand
Elite Force 2 is quite different than the first one. And not in a good way. Sure, it has better graphics, but gameplay, story, level design and multiplayer aren't that good as in the first one. Ofcourse, it's all matter of an opinion. Who knows; perhaps you will like the game more than me. Before you buy it, download the demo from EF Files and try it. That way you will have a better idea what to expect and is it really worth the money.
